It has been already over 3 and a half months since we’ve started the third edition of the TU/e Contest. Our top 50 projects have had the opportunity to impress the TU/e and the partner companies by presenting a wonderful pitch during the training days and create a sparkling business plan on the Golden Egg Check platform. But, the ride still continues! Today’s the day we announce the first part of the finalists.

After learning about how to make a business plan by InnoEnergy and Brightlands, playing lean by TBI, how to pitch by Nuon, and other interesting subjects provided by Océ and SAP, it was time to prepare for the final training day: speed dates. During the speed dates, the participants finally got the chance to meet with our partners and speak to them face to face. Of course, they had already met each other online via comments and conversations that arose from these, but this time it was the real deal. They discussed ideas, prototypes, propositions and so much more. This, making the partners excited to see their business plans. (Want to know more about the last training day? The Golden Egg Check provided every student a platform where they had to create their business plan. After having met the three deadlines, which were set to push and drive students to make it as good and complete as possible, we and our partners began seeing great enthusiasm and spirit.

Based on the experience, faith and expectation our partners expressed their preferences, which meant it was time to start selecting the top 20. Making the selection wasn’t an easy task. That is why today we’ll be announcing the first contestants who will certainly move on to the next and final round. Next Wednesday we’ll be announcing the remaining projects from the categories ideation and prototyping and also the finalists of the category Student Team!
