Emergency situations are, by their very nature, unpredictable. An unexpected mugging attempt on your way back home, an awful terrorist attack in the mall you're shopping in, a sudden heart attack while taking a walk in desolated hills. There's a need for a system that is capable of dealing with such diverse scenarios, and not only on an individual basis: Businesses also have to be able to effectively face, and rapidly adapt to, threats to their human resources.
We're currently developing a personal safety system that can actually be useful in a wide range of situations. It consists of two pieces of software. The first, a phone app that's free for everyone to use and allows you to ask for help - no matter the circumstances - and keep track of your loved ones. The second, an API and web interface that's offered as a service to businesses. With it, it's possible to launch emergencies and coordinate context-aware evacuation plans for all your employees and clients. The Android version of the phone app is currently in BETA testing, and we are now looking for businesses that might be interested in working with us, in order to refine the services we intend to offer.
