-There has always been the complaint that the existing technological infrastructure is not esthetically pleasing and ruins the landscape, forcing away nature to make place for humans necessities. This is especially the case for windmills, which have been accused of blocking the view and supposedly disrupting bird flightpatterns and causing them harm.
-In order to make a windmill an esthetically pleasing and positive addition to the natural landscape, I am looking into developing a bio-material with which to build such a windmill so that it becomes nature itself. This material would be a possible habitat for mosses and other natural growth, creating a micro ecosystem while still producing energy in a non-invasive way. Maintenance would make sure that the workings of the windmill are not obstructed by the plants or animals it attracts onto itself.
