    The challenge

Problem The problem we attempt to solve is set at railway stations in the Netherlands. Train passengers often buy something to eat at a railway station. However, these people have not much time, because they have to catch a train. They often have just a couple of minutes at the station, before their train departs. Ordering food often takes longer than 5 minutes. That is the core of the problem: People miss their train because they order food, or they do not order food in order to catch their train.

    The solution

The solution We want to create an app called E.A.T. - Estimated Arrival Time. This app allows travelers to select one of the (participating) restaurants located at a railway station they are about to visit, a meal and an pick up time. The customer pays using the app and only has to pick up his/her food while still being able to make the train. To give the restaurant enough time to prepare the meal, there is always a minimal time interval between the time of ordering and the pick up time. This service increases customer satisfaction and also generates more customers for restaurants located at railway stations.
